Better than cough syrup...

This is my most favorite time of the year. I have an honest reason to cuddle up in sweaters and blankets, lounge with good reading material and sip spiced apple cider.

Every first week of October for the past 10 years has been more memorable for the unhappy coincidence of two events: I have been sick on my birthday.

Since I was the tender age of 24, I've spent my birthday with a runny nose and a muddled head (and one year I sprained my ankle while celebrating with said muddled head). That has been my birthday spanking. Yay, me.

Because the momentous anniversary of my birth is not yet upon us, I still hold out hope that I will be recovered. I am self-medicating with blogs and tea and lots of sleep-inducing drugs.

So, instead of astounding you with the visions from my delirious state, I'd like to point you in the direction of a few bloggers who have clearer perceptions of the world around them.

Raven Red and her South African school spanking tale.

Tenth Muse Top, and her beautiful story of Persephone.

If you haven't yet checked out the red-bottomed girl, Celine, I urge you to do so. Her tale of promised muffins and a looming spanking is a great place to start.

Also, Cookie and Thomas are celebrating the one-year anniversary of the Birchwood Academy Clips Store. Have a look at their out-takes video and wish them congratulations.

Go, give these blogs some love while I make myself some chicken noodle soup and dream of a healthy (and hearty) reunion with D.

  2. Awww! I hope you get better in time to celebrate. Being sick on your birthday sucks. Today IS my sweetie's birthday and he's sick as hell!

Keep hydrated and warm, and sleep lots.

  4. Pink, Dr. D here. I'm prescribing a B-day spanking for you with an over sized Tongue Depressor!

  5. This is also my favourite time of the year, but for exactly the opposite reason - trees full of blossoms, fresh smell of rain, warm sun...summer around the corner...
Alas, also the time for the awful sniffles to make an appearance...and taking into consideration that I am leaving in three weeks time to the UK for a month, I have raided the local pharmacy. I think I singlehandedly created a shortage of Vit C and B in Johannesburg.
Thanks again for the mention, and hoping that you will be having a birthday, the way you want it..

    Hugs

  6. Dear Miss Pink,

I'm sorry if I gave you this cold or flu by drooling on my keyboard while reading your blog.

I know that oral fluids (*and* saliva) carry infection.

But I just couldn't help myself.

Also, sometimes I don't clean my fingers after I touch myself, if I've just read your blog and have to message someone on yahoo about it.

Is that icky? It's not meant to be.

I guess when I'm the one with prying eyes, the one hiding in my home office, wearing only lowered panties and deeply V-necked mini T, I just start thinking of accountability as what happens to naughty little girls like you who *write* blogs. Not to sweet quiet reader girls like me with dirty mouths and fingers!

So, Miss Pink, I'm sorry for making you sick, but maybe you brought it on yourself by making me so feverish in the first place!

    Phhhhhht! :P

  7. You sound like me, muddled head, runny nose and now my voice seems to be going and I've got to get on a plane later :(

Hope you feeling better for your birthday.

    Love,
    Ronnie

  8. Pat, thanks for that! I think I just got a view of your pink bum. ;)

Erica, I hope J was able to enjoy his birthday despite being sick. If not, I'm sure there are ways to make it up to him!

Aer, well Happy Birthday to you, too! I've never met a Libra I didn't like. ;)

D, there's an implement I had never thought of. When I first read your comment I thought you were proposing spanking me with your tongue, an idea that also holds promise.

Raven, yes, prevention is key. And judging from what I've read on facebook, it sounds like being healthy for your trip to the UK should be a top priority! ;)

Anony, that's an offense I would gladly own up to. It is a hot image; but please wash your hands! :P

Ronnie, I feel for you. Traveling with a muddled head is no fun at all -- hope you can find some time to rest!

Thanks, everyone, for the well wishes and pre-birthday greetings! Time for this girl to soak in the tub...
